African One Line Tetra

The African One Line Tetra typically occupies the top and middle level of the water column, although it can often be seen swimming and feeding in the middle and bottom levels as well. It is safe to keep with other peaceful fish that are not too boisterous and likely to intimidate it or outcompete it for food. It might not be a good tankmate for dwarf shrimp, but it could be kept with larger, peaceful invertebrates too large to be considered prey. It is sensitive to poor water quality and will not thrive in an aquarium where regular maintenance is not performed. This species has not likely been bred on a major level, but there are some hobbyist reports of the African One Line Tetra breeding in the home aquarium
